Our Seeds, Our Roots

Stemming from the importance of coordination between scientific and community expertise in the agricultural sector, Ihsan Relief and Development welcomed a delegation from organizations specialized in seed preservation and propagation — including “Our Seeds, Our Roots” and the Environmental Justice Association from Lebanon, as well as the Syrian Organic Agriculture Association, alongside engineers and experts from the Agricultural Scientific Research Center in Idlib.
The visit aimed to exchange expertise and strengthen cooperation in the field of plant genetic resource conservation. The delegation visited the backup conservation unit within the project “Cultivation and Preservation of Climate-Resilient Local Varieties” — a step that reaffirms the importance of joint efforts to ensure food security and confront climate challenges.
