As part of our ongoing efforts to closely understand the humanitarian situation, a delegation from Ihsan Relief and Development’s Eastern Region Office visited the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Raqqa Governorate.
During the visit, the Director of Social Affairs presented a comprehensive overview of the social conditions in the city, highlighting key statistics and challenges faced by the most vulnerable groups, including persons with disabilities, people with visual impairments, orphans, and households lacking a breadwinner, among other groups requiring genuine and sustainable support.
This visit comes within the framework of strengthening coordination and collaboration with relevant authorities, and working toward developing more effective humanitarian interventions that respond to the needs of the local community, contribute to alleviating hardship, and support the most vulnerable populations.
