In a daily basis, Ihsan team in Jisr Al-Shughour continues to distribute bread to the people within the activities of Food Security and Livelihoods program in Idleb governorate, where 2000 bread bags are being distributed every day in Jisr Al-Shughour in addition to daily distribute other 2000 bread bags in Kafarnabal area.
This project is delivered in collaboration with WHH and funded by the German Foreign Office in order to support the resilience of civilians within the project areas who are suffering from the impact of war in Syria.

As part of Food Security and Livelihood Program, Ihsan for Relief and Development in collaboration with WHH has launched a new project to support agriculture in Western Aleppo countryside in the north of Syria. This project aims to provide 800 farmers with vouchers to purchase various agricultural inputs from the contracted suppliers within project areas.

The project is being funded by the German Foreign Office in order to support the Syrian farmers’ resilience and alleviate their financial burdens they are suffering from due to the ongoing war’s circumstances.

Ihsan Relief and Development in cooperation with the World Food Programme distributes food baskets to four thousand six hundred families in Jisr Al-Shughour area in order to alleviate the suffering of these families and to provide them with basic nutritional requirements.

Ihsan for Relief and Development together with Welthungerhilfe (WHH) is starting free bread distributions to Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and host communities in Southern Idlib governorate. The project is funded by the German Foreign Office and will contribute to food security through bread distributions, bakery support, food vouchers and agricultural activities.

Under the Food Security and Livelihoods Support Program, Ihsan started implementing an agricultural project for the 2017-2018 season in Idleb governorate (Ruj Plain and Saraqip areas) to assist the most needy farmers.

The project will provide support to the agricultural sector in the targeted areas as follows:
– Category I: support olive cultivation.
– Category II: support the cultivation of crops, and winter and summer vegetables.
– Category III: Supporting the cultivation of home gardens for the winter and summer seasons.

Agricultural support inputs will be distributed to the households as well as practical exercises through farmers field schools.

Within the slogan of “Providing a better life for Syrians” and in order to support the families most in need and alleviate their suffering during the difficult humanitarian conditions and ongoing war, Ihsan continues to distribute food baskets to 21,000 families across Sinjar, Azaz and Jisr Al-Shoughor areas. While this comes in partnership with the World Food Program.

The Al-Ghab Plain area in north-western of Hama governorate has many irrigation channels that contribute to supply water to the neighboring and extended areas along the plain. But, the war circumstances and the inability of the local community to address the problem led to the cessation of access to these areas, where irrigation channels were damaged, causing the detention of water inside.

In response to the appeal of the people in the region, Ihsan launched its new project, which aims to rehabilitate about 35 km of irrigation infrastructure to facilitate water access and continuous flow.

This activity also contributes to securing employment opportunities for 1600 people within the project (Cash for Work)
