IhsanRD is implementing an agricultural Development Project in Idlib Governorate.

In pursuit of achieving #Food Security, and the contribution to improve the livelihoods, also to reduce the suffering our families are living nowadays. Ihsan for relief and development is implementing an agricultural development project (between olive trees) in #Kafar_Takhareem – north of Idlib governorate.
The project covers 2200 acres with two crops; chickpeas and bean, and the project is being implemented by the farmer of the same area in addition to other IDPs.
#Ihsan institution had focused on applying training workshops for the farmers, about the techniques used in this kind of agriculture.

Women Empowerment Center for women training and development in‪#‎Aleppo‬ ,Syria.

The woman protection team, which is one of ‪#‎Ihsan‬ for Relief & Development protection programs in ‪#‎AlMashhad‬ district, Aleppo conducts skills development training programs, in addition to social awareness and psychosocial support sessions for more than 60‪#‎women‬ on daily basis within the Women Empowerment Center.

The center also provides woman protection programs that include first aid trainings, sewing, hairdressing, literacy and ‪#‎English‬ language courses, which all fall under women empowerment ‪#‎program‬.

It is also worth mentioning that the protection teams of Ihsan carry out programs for women and children in Aleppo, ‪#‎Idlib‬ and Al-Hasakah.

‪#‎WASH‬ Program,installed three water stations in three areas in syria

Many areas in ‪#‎Syria‬ are suffering from an acute shortage of ‪#‎water‬, as the result of expanding the besieged areas, an preventing water and electricity. The ‪#‎national‬ organizations have reported that there is about 70% of Syrians, currently are suffering from the shortage of drinkable water.

Within the ‪#‎WASH‬ Program, ‪#‎Ihsan‬ Institution for relief and development, has installed three water stations in three areas; Abyad –‪#‎Aleppo‬ Suburb and Sarmeen – ‪#‎Idleb‬ Suburb, in order to reduce our families suffering, and to provide drinkable water for those in need.

‪#‎Ihsan‬ for Relief and Development is committed to contribute to the reviving of the agricultural sector through a series of development projects in agricultural and ‪#‎food‬ security sector.

Wheat is one of the most important and strategic crops as it is considered the daily sustenance for people.
In 2015, FAO estimated wheat production in Syria at 2.445 million tons, which means a deficit of 800 thousand tons.

Providing 50 tons of flour to support a bakery in rural Idleb

Ihsan for Relief and Development coordinated with Human Appeal to support a Al-Ghadafeh Bakery in rural Idlib by providing 50 tons of flour on September 8, 2014. The goal of the project was to activate the bakery, which provides bread for token prices to 8000 residents in four nearby villages. One ton of flour is enough to produce 10,000 loafs of bread.

Ihsan completed the distribution of assistance worth $49,571

Ihsan for Relief and Development completed the distribution of assistance worth $49,571 in the last quarter of September and the first half of October 2014. Assistance included shelter supplies, health baskets and transportation allowances for Syrian IDPs in rural Idleb (the villages of Sargila, Rabia and Shanshrah). This was completed within SF’s current contract with the NGO ACTED. Ihsan’s team directed distribution operations, which were attended by Mr. Mohammad AlMasry, SF’s Idleb office manager. It is worth noting that Ihsan’s field team visited the distribution area previously in September and documented a complete absence of necessary infrastructure. Approximately 2500 IDPs reside in the distribution area.
