Under the title “Strength in Leadership and Solidarity,” the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), in collaboration with Ihsan for Relief and Development, one of the Syrian Forum’s programs, organized an event in Al-Dana area to launch a 16-day campaign to combat violence against women.
The event was attended by Baraa Al-Smoudi, the Executive Director of IhsanRD, David Carden, the Deputy Regional Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs for the Syrian crisis, and Ziad Nabulsi, the Director of the UNFPA office in Syria, in addition to some Syrian activists and humanitarian workers involved in projects for the protection and support of women in northwestern Syria.
The participants emphasized the continuation of projects and programs supporting women and activating their positive role in society at all levels, especially economic and social, aiming to build healthy families and sound generations capable of building Syria.
