Women’s Creative Center in Khabasin supported by IhsanRD is preparing to receive the participants

Women are not only half of society, they are also responsible for preparing the other half.
Because IhsanRD believes in the importance of women and their role in building Syrian society, IhsanRD has sought since its establishment to implement unique projects aimed to empower women, developing their skills and raising the awareness of their special role and abilities.
IhsanRD team is preparing to launch the Women’s Creative Center in Qabasin in order to support and empower women and girls in the fields of vocational, educational and psychological support.
The center includes activities and multiple classes in literacy, computer skills, sewing and wool knitting, English, hairdressing courses, and sessions about life skills for girls.
The center has a nursery room to relieve the burden of mothers participating in scheduled programs.
The Center’s activities also include mobile teams conducting awareness sessions for women and girls outside the center.
Until the end of the year, the Women’s Support Center in Kabassin continues its activities with up to 600 participants of women and girls.

Local Product By Syrian Women, A New Project By IhsanRD in Rural Idlib

Because the Syrian women have their special place in the society and home, and because they are capable of producing and manufacturing and have the will to support themselves and their families, IhsanRD has launched a new project in several areas of rural Idlib, which aims to empower women and support livelihoods that allow them to preserve their dignity and put them in the right place as a productive member in the society that has been and continues to suffer the brunt of war.
This project is providing the necessary equipment and raw materials for the production process of milk, cheese, pomegranate molasses and many other household products that Syrian women are characterized by their ability to produce them with high qualities specifications, which give them in return a decent income and provides the local market with an outstanding product.

IhsanRD team distributing agricultural voucher in Atarb

For more than six years, Syrian people have been suffering from the cruel conditions of the war, during which the agricultural process was severely damaged, especially in the northern regions of Syria, but this was not an enough reason for Syrian people to fall victim to despair and surrender, however they continue to produce.
Ihsan for Relief & Development, in cooperation with WHH and funded by the German Foreign Office, is implementing a project consisting of two main activities:
The first aspect includes supporting farmers with agricultural vouchers that allow them to purchase agricultural inputs and equipment during two seasons in summer and winter, as well as providing irrigation support vouchers to farmers in rural areas of western Aleppo.
The second aspect includes the support of the local communities with bread, where 4000 daily bread packages are distributed in the areas of Kernabal and Jisr al-Shughour.

Despite war and siege, Child Friendly Space (CFS) concludes the 3rd session in eastern Ghouta

War and the unjust siege could not stop the children in the Child Friendly Space (CFS) supported by IhsanRD in eastern Ghouta from playing and enjoying the closing ceremony held at the Center with the ending of the third session. 419 children participated in the Center’s two-month scheduled activities in psychosocial support for children, recreation and awareness activities.
Till this moment the number of children participated in the first three sessions at the Child Friendly Space (CFS) in the eastern Ghouta since the beginning of April reached 1081 children.
The center is also provides raising awareness activities and lectures for adults and parents skills.
The Child Friendly Space (CFS) in the eastern Ghouta is one of many centers Supported by Ihsan for Relief & Development, which are spread in several other governorates in Syria, such as the center in Jarablus in northern Syria and Rastan’s Center in Homs province.

IhsanRD team delivers food aid to 4,600 families in Jisr al-Shughour

Water goes back to Ain al-Souda after rehabilitation project of the water station implemented by IhsanRD

Ihsan for Relief and Development team rehabilitated the Ein El-Souda water station in the western region of Idlib, in addition to rehabilitation of the water network within the town and supporting the operating of the station with fuel and chlorine for five months.
The water station serves the town of Ain al-Souda and the town of Ein al-Bardeh, with a population of about 9000 citizens.
In order to rehabilitate the Ain-Al-Suda water station, the project team carried out a number of activities including: Provision and installation of Generator 200 KVA with fuel tanks, 100KVA power transformer, installation of fuel tanks, supplying sterilization systems with the necessary materials and installation of electrical control panels.
In addition to rehabilitating the water station and the water network, the project includes activating the collection system of water revenues through the installation of household meters and training of the station cadres on the collection and operation system and the necessary periodic maintenance to ensure that the station is still working properly after the end of the support period.

Closing the second session of Women’s Support Center in Jarabulus

The Women’s Support Center in Grapples ended its second session with a closing ceremony, where the graduating participants in this session were honored and presented some of their works.
The number of women and girls reached through the activities of the center during 2nd session was 1800 girls and women.
499 women and girls attended the training classes within the center in wool knitting, hairdressing, learning English language and computer skills in addition to psychosocial support sessions.
While about 1,380 women and girls were reached through the Center’s outreach and recreation activities.

Open Day activities at Women’s Creativity Support Center in Armnaz – Idleb.
Women’s Creativity Support Center in Armnaz concluded the fourth session yesterday with the establishment of an open day with various activities provided by the participants. The ceremony was attended by 342 women who participated for two months in the Center’s activities, Where every two months at the Center for the support of women’s creativity in the city of Armanaz conduct a new cycle of courses held at the Center on two levels. The first level includes professional and practical courses which allow the participants to learn the skills of wool and handicrafts, attend literacy courses, learn English and computer skills, first aid principles and hairdressing skills. On the second level, participants attend courses in psychosocial support and learning life skills.
