The Home Gardens’ Project is considered as one of Ihsan’s project, in which it aims to achieve the Food_Security, and reduce the suffering that our families are living nowadays.
Civilians in #Syria are not only suffering from #bombing, they are also suffering a drinking #water crisis and lack of alternatives.
It is an endless humanitarian crisis, the lack of the basic life requirements, such as food, drinking water, healthcare and education, and the growing problem of water scarcity and the difficulty to obtain it, all made civilians seek for alternatives to sustain life.
Within its series of projects in WASH program, #Ihsan for Relief and Development started the first phase in preparing an artesian well to provide a reliable clean source of drinking water to reach 4000 people in Babis, in rural Aleppo
Death machine continues to harvest more lives and thousands of schools in #Syria are being destroyed.
According to international organizations statistics, about five thousand#schools have been partially or completely destroyed in Syria, which deprived thousands of students from #education.
In their attempt to find solutions, some institutions have established temporary field schools in less dangerous areas, in addition to repairing and rehabilitation of partially destroyed schools.
Ihsan Relief & Development contributes to the support of the educational process in Syria through its educational programs.

Women Empowerment Center for women training and development in#Aleppo ,Syria.
The woman protection team, which is one of #Ihsan for Relief & Development protection programs in #AlMashhad district, Aleppo conducts skills development training programs, in addition to social awareness and psychosocial support sessions for more than 60#women on daily basis within the Women Empowerment Center.
The center also provides woman protection programs that include first aid trainings, sewing, hairdressing, literacy and #English language courses, which all fall under women empowerment #program.
It is also worth mentioning that the protection teams of Ihsan carry out programs for women and children in Aleppo, #Idlib and Al-Hasakah.

Many areas in #Syria are suffering from an acute shortage of #water, as the result of expanding the besieged areas, an preventing water and electricity. The #national organizations have reported that there is about 70% of Syrians, currently are suffering from the shortage of drinkable water.
Within the #WASH Program, #Ihsan Institution for relief and development, has installed three water stations in three areas; Abyad –#Aleppo Suburb and Sarmeen – #Idleb Suburb, in order to reduce our families suffering, and to provide drinkable water for those in need.
#Ihsan for Relief and Development is committed to contribute to the reviving of the agricultural sector through a series of development projects in agricultural and #food security sector.
Wheat is one of the most important and strategic crops as it is considered the daily sustenance for people.
In 2015, FAO estimated wheat production in Syria at 2.445 million tons, which means a deficit of 800 thousand tons.

“Home Gardens” an agricultural project executed by #Ihsan in the besieged areas north of #Homs – Syria.
Within its series of Food Security programs, Ihsan for Relief and Development started its project of Home Gardens in north Homs (Rastan – Talbiseh – Alghantu – Gurnata – Zmimir – Dair Al Foul – Alfarhaneyeh – Almakrameyeh – Alshabaneyeh and Alzafarana).
The project covers 2000 acres of potatoes and beans, 2 acres for each beneficiary/farmer.
The project spans over six months, during which Ihsan will provide the farmers with seeds and appropriate fertilizers, as well as the necessary equipment, fuel and pesticides.
Ihsan for Relief and Development, an organization under the umbrella of the Syrian Forum, has just completed the data collection phase of the ongoing needs assessment in Lattakia, led by the Needs Assessment Department. The objective of the multi-sectoral assessment is to identify the major gaps in the non-government controlled area in order to build adequate projects in response. The Ihsan team on the ground began the assessment after receiving an in-depth training on tools and methodology. The assessment was gathered information from heads of relief committees, heads of hospitals, school managements, a random sample of civilians as well as well-known leaders of the community.
